Apple's iPad isn't the only mobile BI player in town. Samsung's Galaxy Tab looks to provide the tablet with a worthy rival.

While mobile business intelligence offerings from vendors like TIBCO Software and Yellowfin have our Mike Vizard saying Apple's iPad will alter BI, his colleague Carl Weinschenk is of the belief that corporate dominance is not in the cards for the iPad.

Devices like the RIM PlayBook and Samsung Galaxy Tab will give chase to Apple's current market dominance. Timo Elliot at Business Analytics Blog provides a thorough assessment of the Galaxy Tab's analytic and business intelligence capabilities.

Elliot claims Android 2.2 doesn't get the most out of the device but believes Android Gingerbread, which will be more optimized for tablet devices, will provide the Galaxy Tab the boost it needs to become a viable business competitor to the iPad.
