The application and data integration specialist claims to make it easy for users to integrate apps with Salesforce's cloud CRM service.

Jitterbit today unveiled a tool that the company says makes it easier for users to integrate other enterprise applications with (NYSE: CRM).

Jitterbit Connect for Salesforce is a wizard-based integration tool built into Jitterbit Enterprise Edition that lets non-technical users quickly connect with other enterprise apps. The Salesforce integration tool isn't in the open source version of Jitterbit.

Analyst Mark Smith of Ventana Research said the tool fits an important need.

"Salesforce gives organizations the ability to track sales opportunities and customer service calls, but easily sharing this data between Salesforce and other enterprise applications is a challenge," Smith said in a statement.

Jitterbit CTO Ilan Sehayek said popular uses for the new tool include integrating Salesforce with Bugzilla and Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), for example.

Sehayek said Jitterbit tops competitive products such as Informatica with its ease of use. Jitterbit has "extracted the nuances and complexities" of the Salesforce API to create a simple wizard and user interface, he told eCRM Guide.

The product appears to be striking a note; Sehayek said half of the company's business pipeline is now integrating apps with the cloud CRM service.

The application, cloud and data integration specialist gave Jitterbit Connect for Salesforce bi-directional data integration through the Salesforce Web Services API, including both queries and upserts. The new interface provides point-and-click configuration so users can connect, transform, and transport data to and from without coding.

It also includes a drag-and-drop Query Builder using SOQL, the Object Query Language; an Instant Filter to search for Salesforce data fields; AutoMapper to recommend and automatically map data between similar field types in disparate systems; and Project Creator to automatically build and create Salesforce integration operations.

Pricing for Jitterbit Enterprise Edition starts at $10,000 a year; Jitterbit Connect for Salesforce is free for current customers. A free 30-day trial of Jitterbit Enterprise is available at
