Provider of open source enterprise management software says new release adds 85 applications.

The bad news: According to a Panorama Consulting study based on ERP implementations completed in 2011, 54 percent of companies said their ERP projects took longer than expected and 56 percent spent more than expected. The good news: That's an improvement over last year's study.

NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson attributed a significant amount of 2011’s revenue growth to the SaaS ERP provider’s business with larger companies. In the fourth quarter, NetSuite saw a 43 percent increase in deals worth more than $100,000.
