iContact and Flowtow integration lets marketers segment subscribers based on social web use.
iContact and Flowtow have announced an integration that will allow iContact users to segment their subscribers based on their social web use. According to the company's news release on PR Web, through iContacts API, Flowtown has integrated its platform with iContacts email marketing software, enabling iContact users to easily segment any subscriber list by age group, gender, location and social network at a low cost.
"With Flowtown and iContact the user is able to find out which social networks each of their contacts are on, then send a targeted email offering a specific promotion or special and encourage customers to visit them on sites like Twitter and Facebook.
"'This integration brings email marketing to the social web,' added Keith Moore, Chief Marketing Officer for iContact. 'To be able to segment customers based on not only their age and location, but by social network, is powerful. Email has never been more social!'"
