U.S. Bank announced that it has rolled out an application called ScoreBoard that enables its more than 110,000 small-business clients to generate reports about their credit cards, merchant processing accounts and other electronic payment vehicles through a secure Web-based dashboard, InformationWeek reports. The move came from U.S. Bank's Payment Services division, which wanted to give customers self-service access to dashboard-style tools for analyzing spending and revenue trends. The ScoreBoard system is built on software from Information Builders, which had a previous relationship with the firm. Robert Kaufman, senior vice president in the Payment Solutions division at U.S. Bank said:
Information Builders created a reporting infrastructure that can scale to support one million users. ScoreBoard allows small business owners and authorized officers to monitor their company's credit card spending over various time periods, as well as to compare aggregate credit card transactions to industry trends.
