Online retailer hires company to enhance customer service.
Laurel, Md.-based iSKY Inc., a global provider of outsourced customer management services, has signed of a multi-year agreement with Amazon.com to enhance the company's existing customer service network. Under the agreement, iSKY will initially provide support for telephone inquiries relating to the U.S. site, but the agreement may expand to include support for Amazon's international sites as well.The agreement between the two companies will be in effect in time for the 2001 holiday season.
"At Amazon.com, we are committed to partnering with only 'best-of-class' service providers, and iSKY is one of the recognized leaders in their field," said Tim Rauschenbach, vice president of customer service for Amazon.com. "Our alliance with iSKY will enable us to better manage the surge of contacts we typically receive during peak times, such as the holidays, while allowing us to better balance work flow for our associates."
iSKY was founded in 1984 as Sky Alland.
