The CRM software specialist scores a high-profile deal to power the U.S Navy's recruitment operations.
Customer relationship management (CRM) software firm Siebel Systemsscored a deal to power the database management system for the U.S Navy Recruiting Command. The San Mateo, Calif.-based Siebel, which sells e-business and e-government CRM software, said the Navy Recruiting Command would use its technology to power the Navy Recruiting and Accession Management System (NRAMS).
The NRAMS boosts efficiency within the recruiting process by providing a flow of information to facilitate recruit management.
With more than 7,000 personnel manning the Navy's recruitment, this is considered a huge client win for Siebel. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
"Through its implementation of NRAMS, the Navy Recruiting Command will create a centralized database management system for military recruiting activities to enhance its ability to effectively meet current and projected staffing needs," Siebel said in a statement.
"Navy Recruiting District commanders will be able to view each lead or candidate's status within the recruiting pipeline and analyze hiring trends. By reducing duplication of effort and time spent on administrative tasks, NRAMS will further enable the Navy Recruiting Command to streamline its recruiting process," it added.
