The contact center firm is opening new call centers in Montreal, Quebec and St. Catharines, Ontario.

BALTIMORE & TORONTO--SITEL Corporation, a contact center firm supporting CRM solutions, says they are opening two new contact centers to further their North American expansion, in Montreal, Quebec and St. Catharines, Ontario. They're expected to open in January 2001 and will employ about 1200 people.

SITEL already has four other contact centers in Canada and they say their client list includes Fortune 500 companies from industry groups including Financial Services, Transportation, Technology, Telecommunications, Energy Services and Broadcast Media.

"The outsourced CRM market in Canada continues to expand as leading Canadian and international companies emphasize the effective delivery of customer services in order to keep their respective competitive advantage. SITEL's addition of these new contact centers will help us meet the increased demand for customer services and further establish our strong CRM leadership position throughout Canada," added Clough. "We look forward to continuing our growth in this important market."

SITEL says it manages in excess of 1.5 million remote customer contacts per day via the telephone, Internet and traditional mail.
