Officials for both companies Thursday named Brett White to the position of CFO for the anticipated combined company. Until then, White will be joining Broadbase Software as its CFO. White previously served as Vice President of Finance for Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL).
"Brett is the kind of financial leader that can assist Kana in its drive to become the leader in the eCRM market. Kana Chairman and CEO Jay Wood. He is an experienced professional who will assist the company in realizing its goal of profitability."
Redwood City-based Kana specializes in e-mail, Web, chat, instant message, VOIP, phone and person-to-person, as well as e-business and communications applications for the marketing, sales and service sector. Menlo Park-based Broadbase is focused on analytic, marketing automation and e-service software applications.
The merger, which was announced April 9, is still pending federal and stockholder approval. The combined company also says it anticipates its revenue to be $152 million for the 2001, while its second-quarter revenue should be $35 million. Reprinted from siliconvalley.internet.com
