Eight-time startup veteran, Rick Maddox, joins executive team at Web-based eCRM decision-support applications company.
Active Decisions Monday named Rick Maddox as its vice president of worldwide sales.
The Burlingame, Calif.-based company specializes in Web-based customer relationship management (CRM) decision-support applications.
Maddox may be a candidate for the "Most Experience In The Least Amount of Time," award. Prior to joining Active Decisions, he worked in leadership positions at eight successful start-up companies including MS2, Velogic (which was sold to Keynote Systems) and Business Evolution (sold later to Kana Communications).
"I had the pleasure of working with Rick at Velogic. He's one of the best sales executives I've ever known," says Active Decisions president and CEO Jeff Dunn. "His energy, customer focus and drive fit perfectly with our management team. Bringing Rick on board is like adding jet fuel to an engine."
Active Decisions products are designed for manufacturers and retailers of complex consumer products, including consumer electronics, computer equipment, appliances, and financial services.
The company's customers include Best Buy Co., eBay, E*TRADE, Ford Motor Company, goodguys.com, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Lycos, mySimon, Palm, Sony Electronics, and Yahoo!.
