When it comes to hardware, software and services, the choices have never been more abundant, more difficult or more important. So in the spirit of helping other small businesses, nominate your favorite products in the 2006 Excellence in Technology Awards.

The good news is that the product choices have gotten broader and deeper, as the big vendors continue to fine tune their offerings and smaller players enter the market with innovative ways to make your operation more efficient.
The bad news is that threats have gotten greater, too. The stakes are higher than ever as you operate your business in a digital world. The bad guys have become more sophisticated, and you can't afford to ignore the dangers lurking in the shadows. Because of the need to protect your data and to plan for the worst-case scenario, we have added a Security section to 2006 Excellence in Technology Awards. We also ask you to nominate your favorite hardware, software and e-commerce products across 25 categories.
Small businesses have always relied on each other for advice and support. In that spirit, please recommend the products you bought, leased or subscribed to that made a difference. To be eligible, the products must have been either released or significantly upgraded in 2005. We don't expect you to make a nomination in each category, but we encourage you to nominate in as many categories as you feel comfortable.
We'll keep the nomination process open until Nov. 11. On Nov. 29, we'll post a list of finalists so that you can pick the winners. And on January 24, 2006, we'll announce the winners.
