Online site for sweepstakes, promotions and direct marketing services banks on a fresh start by changing its name and dropping its .com.
Jackpot.com, which manages three consumer destination websites (Jackpot.com, JackpotSports.com, and BigPrizes.com) is going through an identity crisis.
The Pasadena, Calif.-based company Thursday says it is changing its corporate name to The Vendare Group (pronounced Ven DAR ee) to better reflect its online sweepstakes, promotions and direct marketing services.
"This group has evolved its business model far beyond its original online gaming sites," says Vendare Group president and CEO Keith Cohn. "The company now offers a robust range of marketing services and solutions helping sponsors to create and implement a variety of sweepstakes and direct marketing strategies designed to optimize customer acquisition and retention both online and offline."
Cohn now says the company offers ASP sweepstakes, online promotions and targeted direct marketing campaigns to businesses.
The company also announced that John Weems is joined as its COO. Weems comes to Vendare Group from Digital Convergence Corporation where he was the chief marketing officer.
