Host Analytics, a provider of cloud-based corporate performance management (CPM) software, has introduced Host Analytics Business Analytics, a tool designed for finance and business managers that provides a self-service reporting and dashboard interface for operational and financial data.

The tool includes the company’s dynamic reporting functionality, which combines financial and ad-hoc reporting to form a single, comprehensive view of finance. Other features include advanced close and disclose functionality and a new interface that allows finance executives to manage processes, such as financial consolidation and reporting, from a control panel.

Users can also view reports and dashboards from mobile devices like the iPad.

For companies with existing online business intelligence tools, Host Analytics says the software offers an architecture strategy that enables customers to choose the best tool for their needs by using open database connectivity drivers that can access CPM and non-CPM data.

Host Analytics also announced a partnership with Birst, a provider of cloud-based business intelligence software. According to Host Analytics, embedding Birst business analytics within its CPM software will make it easier for clients to combine and analyze data from disparate sources and make information accessible to decision-makers across their organizations.

The initial offering will include analytic applications for reporting on financial, human resources expense, capital expense, and key performance indicator (KPI) data. Later the two companies plan to enable clients to analyze data from other sources, including CRM and marketing automation applications.

“There’s a natural relationship between corporate performance management and analytics,” said Jon Kondo, Host Analytics’ president and CEO. “This partnership will inject Birst’s enterprise-class business intelligence into our solution, pairing financial and operational data to create a comprehensive view that will prove incredibly valuable to our clients.”
