Pronto Combines ERP and Business Intelligence
Pronto Software has unveiled Pronto-Xi Dimensions, a new “smart” ERP solution that brings together enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence in a unified, out-of-the-box solution, with help from IBM Cognos.
Launched at Pronto Software’s customer conference in Chicago, the company said the release addresses a key mid-market need for rapid insight into business performance for faster and smarter decision-making for all employees.
Embedding the powerful IBM Cognos BI suite, Pronto said Pronto-Xi Dimensions enables mid-market businesses to manage large volumes of data and access real-time analytics to understand business drivers and influence outcomes.
“When planning for this release more than 18 months ago, we envisioned a product that’s not just a logical extension of the success we’ve built so far, but a game-changing solution that will make our ERP engine smarter and create greater access to knowledge, to enable customers to innovate and differentiate,” said Pronto Software Managing Director David Jackman.
One highly touted feature of Pronto-Xi Dimensions is that every user of the solution has access to an intuitive user interface (UI) with a high level of personalization. Pronto Software said this UI makes it easy to define personalized workspaces, look and feel, and provides full access to the web for collaborative networking and intelligence sharing.
Pronto-Xi Dimensions also integrates new features targeting international markets and customers servicing international markets. The solution offers a multi-tier tax engine, multi-factory costing to optimize manufacturing in multiple locations, multi-currency POS for retailers and a unique shipment processing feature to track real-time consolidated shipments from local and international suppliers.
The new solution also offers a French language pack to service the French, African and Canadian markets.
Pronto-Xi Dimensions is now available in the United States and Canada through Pronto Software’s value-added resellers and is available as on-premises or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) deployment.
