At Informatica World 2010, Informatica and Cloudera announced that the two companies are partnering to provide customers with the solutions needed to address the challenges associated with managing large-scale data, including structured, complex and social data. To accomplish this, Informatica has modified its business intelligence software so that it can work with Cloudera’s Hadoop distribution, PC World reports.

Mike Olsen, chief executive officer, Cloudera, said in a statement:

This partnership enables organizations to take advantage of a proven data integration platform and this new data management technology to process and analyze enormous amounts of data.

Through the partnership, users will be able to move their data in and out of Hadoop through Informatica’s graphical environment and leverage the Sqoop interfaces to serve as a bridge between the Informatica Platform and Hadoop’s Distributed File System.
