According to BP Logix, the software contains process intelligence and reporting capabilities that use real-time metrics to predict when deadlines will be missed. The new features also allow process owners and project managers to simulate potential scenarios in real time to assess the impact of different scenarios for getting business process and projects back on track.

The aim of BP Logix Process Director is to put BPM under the direct control of business users, by enabling them to define, automate, manage, report on and improve business processes. The product includes a technology called Process Timeline that allows business users to review historical and current data related to business processes, specify the order, dependencies and conditions related to activities within running processes, and instantly implement corrective action when needed to overcome a pending problem.

"Tools that facilitate the collaboration between IT and business — while also providing process insight and intelligence that process owners need to succeed — are becoming more critical to both enterprise and mid-market organizations," said Jay O’Brien, CEO of BP Logix. "Delivering the core benefits of BPM without coding or additional overhead has traditionally been our sweet spot. The additional functionality we provide in V2.5 will satisfy existing customers and provide the capabilities that other market leaders are seeking."

BP Logix customers include Abbott Labs, DuPont, ITT Institute, Leo Burnett USA, Starwood Hotels and Resorts and the National Eye Institute.
