Customer relationship management (CRM) software maker Applix has released versions of
its product in Japanese, Korean and Chinese to serve companies that are based in, or have significant operations, in Asia.

The Westborough, Mass., company already provides the application suite, known as iCRM, in English, French and German.

“A multi-lingual infrastructure improves productivity and system usage by enabling employees to think, communicate and act in their native language while companies
maintain a global standard,” said Alan Goldsworthy, Applix president and CEO.

iCRM supports analytic capabilities and wireless communication. Its modules perform marketing and sales force automation functions as well as service level
agreement monitoring.

Applix customers are Global 2000 companies, including Recruit Company, an human resource and media services firm with 4,000 employees in 40 locations.

“We needed a solution that could quickly and easily handle databases in Japanese,” said Hiroshi Wakabayashi, a Recruit vice president. “Applix was the
only company that could provide exceptional performance at a reasonable cost.”

Shares of APLX opened up 0.01 to 1.83. In the last 52 weeks, the issue has ranged from 0.43 to 6.
