Business-to-business (B2B) Internet commerce firm GE Global eXchange Services (GXS) and 2Way Corp., a provider of enterprise collaborative communications software, are creating an alliance to develop and market an interactive communication solution designed to allow companies to integrate customer, partner and employee feedback into internal business systems such as customer relationship management (CRM).

The solution aims to help companies gather and process this information in a more efficient manner, thereby decreasing response time and improving communication between companies and their key constituents.

“Companies from diverse industries will be able to streamline and enhance their communications with important constituents using the integrated solution created by this alliance,” said Jim Rogers, director of the Gaithersburg, Md.-based GE Global exchange Services’ Global Alliance Program. “We are pleased to welcome 2Way as a premier member of our Global Alliance Program.”

The alliance employs the capabilities of the 2Way Interactive System (2WAY IS), which streamlines the way business professionals present, accumulate, and exchange corporate information, in conjunction with GE Global exchange Services’ Enterprise System and GE InterLinx integration brokers, which permit the exchange of business documents and transactions between applications, within an enterprise or from company to company.

“2Way is committed to enhancing collaboration between companies and the people who matter most to their success,” said Tim Carlsen, vice president of business development and marketing for the Seattle, Wash.-based 2Way. “Our alliance with GE Global eXchange Services delivers on that commitment with an effective enterprise feedback solution.”

GXS operates one of the largest B2B e-commerce networks in the world, with more than 100,000 trading partners. The network’s one billion annual transactions account for $1 trillion in goods and services. GE Global eXchange Services is a part of the General Electric Company, U.S.A. The company maintains a Web site at GE Global eXchange Services.
