Business intelligence (BI) software firm, Phocas, has launched a browser-based version of its Professional Suite. As reported on V3.co.uk, Phocas Xpress has the ability to generate BI reports and dashboards, and run queries and alerts on all smartphones.

“The software can be installed as a standalone product or as an add-on to the Phocas Professional suite, benefiting the increasing numbers of workers who need access to such data on the move, according to Paul Magee, group managing director of Phocas.

“The product offers password protected log-in using Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft IIS server technology. Everything is verified at the central server, and a data tracker monitors how and when the software is used, Magee said.

“Phocas Xpress is not tied to a specific enterprise resource planning or customer relationship management (CRM) system, and can work with products from other vendors, according to the firm.”
