Salesnet Improves UI

Boston-based on-demand CRM provider Salesnet on Monday unveiled a significantly enhanced user interface (UI), designed to provide a faster, more fluid navigation experience.

“The updated UI significantly bypasses the total number of mouse-clicks typically required by competing online CRM applications,” said Richard Perkett, Salesnet’s chief technology officer and co-founder. “By providing an easier to navigate and more powerful user interface, we maintain our competitive edge in delivering the easiest-to-use, most flexible CRM application that helps salespeople increase their profitability and effectiveness.”

The new features contribute to faster implementation and even more in-depth customization resulting in overall increased efficiency for customers, he said. The enhanced UI, updated in the Express, Standard and Extended versions of Salesnet’s CRM solutions, also adds extended search capabilities, tabbed shortcut access to frequently used areas, intuitive split screen flexibility, individual screen design customization, and the option to fully brand the UI per a company’s own style sheet preferences

The new UI introduces multi-windows, a feature familiar to Windows desktop applications, but not yet common in online applications. The feature enables a user to keep multiple application windows open at the same time. For example, if a user is in the application looking at an account and he clicks on a contact, another window will open with the contact information instead of navigating him off of the original page.

“Salesnet’s new user interface provides shortcut access and smoother navigation to core data,” said Bill Patten, director of Sales and Policy Administration, Commercial Markets Group of Sovereign Bank. “We have found that the new UI is helping us drive faster ramp-up of our new Salesnet users and enhanced efficiency among current users.”
