Sitel Corp. Appoints New Director

Sitel Corp. (NTSE:SWW) has named Mathias J. DeVito to its board of directors. DeVito is chairman emeritus of The Rouse Company, a real estate development firm. In addition to being the past chairman and chief executive officer of The Rouse Company, DeVito’s career includes being the Assistant Attorney General of the State of Maryland and a partner in the law firm of Piper & Marbury.


DeVito’s accomplishments include being selected as “CEO of the Decade” in the real estate industry by Financial World magazine in 1989, and, in March of 1995, the magazine named him Chief Executive Officer of the year in the real estate industry.


DeVito was named the country’s top CEO in the real estate industry by the Wall Street Transcript for the years 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1988. In April of 1987, he was selected as Maryland’s Minority Advocate of the Year by the United States Small Business Administration.


He currently serves on the boards of directors of US Airways Group, Inc., and Mars Super Markets and is chairman of the Advisory Boards of Equity-Linked Investors II, and Private Equity Investors III and IV. He also is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Maryland Institute, College of Art.


DeVito previously served as chairman of the board of the Greater Baltimore Committee, chairman of the board of Empower Baltimore Management Corporation and as chairman of the Board of Trustees of State Colleges of Maryland. He is a past member of the boards of The Rouse Company, Allied Irish Banks, Allfirst Financial Corp., Roanoke College, the Enterprise Foundation, Johns Hopkins University, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Walters Art Gallery.

The company manages more than 1.5 million customer contacts per day via the telephone, Web, e-mail, fax and traditional mail.
