Teradata has agreed to purchase Aprimo for $525 million. The privately held Indianapolis-based company provides enterprise software that is used to analyze data for the purpose of mapping out advertising and marketing efforts.

Teradata plans to combine Aprimo's technology with its own analytics and data warehousing products, although the company will continue to market and sell Aprimo's software under that name, Computerworld reports.
