ATG Hires Overseas VP

Art Technology Group , a Cambridge, Mass., e-commerce software maker, has named
Bernard Girbal, a 21-year industry veteran, as vice president and general manager of international operations.

“Girbal brings a wealth of experience leading technology sales and services initiatives on a global scale,” said Paul Shorthose, president and CEO of ATG.
“His experience will be an asset to the international growth of ATG as we continue to extend the reach of the most innovative and well-serviced e-business
applications on the market.”

Girbal has held management posts with several large companies. He began his career with Hewlett-Packard Company in 1980, where he worked in a variety of
technical and sales management positions over an eight-year period.

He then served as general manager, Western Europe, for Chipcom/3Com and later, vice president and general manager, for Candle Corporation. Girbal joined
ATG from Nuera Communications where he was a vice president.
