2017 Kicks Off With Customer Experience Vendors Raising New Funds
Updated · Jan 06, 2017
The new year has just started, but vendors are already busy raising new money to help them grow. Among the vendors making funding announcements this week are New York City-based NGDATA and Chicago-based CloudCraze.
NGDATA on Jan. 5 announced a supplemental $9.4 million investment into its Series B round. The full Series B round raised by NGDATA now stands at $20 million, including the participation of Idinvest Partners, Pamica, SmartFin Capital, Capricorn Venture Partners and Nausicaa Ventures.
NGDATA will be using the money to help expand its Lily Enterprise customer experience operating system that is used by clients such as Wells Fargo, ING and Telenet. The Lily Enterprise system includes machine learning algorithms to help customers better understand customer interactions.
“The customer is at the core of what we do at NGDATA, and our business is flourishing because companies realize the value of using all of their data to gain deeper customer understanding for more personalized interactions,” CEO Luc Burgelman said in a statement. “This funding enables us to continue domestic and international growth, expand our employee base, and further propel our strategic acquisition strategy.”
CloudCraze announced on Jan 6 that it has raised $20 million in a new Series B round of funding from Insight Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures.
The CloudCraze technology is built on top of Salesforce and provides experience, payment order and subscription management capabilities.
“CloudCraze improves the B2B buying and service experience tremendously with its scalable and flexible solution,” Nikitas Koutoupes, managing director at Insight Venture Partners, said in a statement. “We expect this round of funding to help CloudCraze innovate and grow at a much faster pace and larger scale.”
