Group 1 Appoints Waggoner as CTO

Customer management relations software developer Group 1 Software (NASDAQ:GSOF) has appointed Tim R. Waggoner to the newly created position of corporate chief technology officer. Waggoner, a nine-year employee of Group 1 Software, has served as the chief technology officer for the company’s Enterprise Solutions division since 1999.


In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and coordinating the company’s technology direction and assisting where possible in its implementation.


Since joining the Lanham, Md.-based Group 1, Waggoner has served in a number of technical management positions. He has nearly 20 years experience in the software industry. In his spare time, he also serves as chief technology analyst for Humanvision Technology Ventures LLC, a local technology incubation program.


Group 1’s solutions are utilized in the financial services, banking, retail, telecommunications, utilities, e-commerce, and insurance industries. The company’s customer base includes AT&T, Charles Schwab, Entergy, GEICO, L.L. Bean, MCI WorldCom, Wal-Mart and Wells Fargo.
