Rech Informatica is using Veryant isCOBOL and Java technologies to modernize its COBOL-based
ERP software application with updated user interfaces and new, thin client access options. As reported on TMCnet, Veryant's isCOBOL Evolve enabled the company to continue programming in COBOL and at the same time modernize and deploy its application across multiple platforms in an open Java framework.

“Rech's ERP solution, SIGER, was written initially in Micro Focus COBOL. It has been in use for more than 20 years by companies in many industries. The software offers a wide range of operational and management tools for multiple business functions.

“The company ruled out rewriting the SIGER software as it was bulky and complicated. The ideal choice was to maintain the existing system while new features were added, increasing both the power and quality of the software.”
