When Swiftpage, a provider of integrated marketing and CRM solutions, purchased the Act! contact management and Saleslogix customer relationship management (CRM) businesses from Sage earlier this year, it promised to continue to invest in the products.

It is making good on that promise with today’s launch of Act! v16 , which adds new capabilities in direct response to requests from the Act! end-user community. For example, users of Act! Premium now will enjoy expanded CRM functionality on mobile devices, at no extra charge. Other new features:

  • Streamlined company management and global actions — Allows for the automatic consolidation of contact details and global activity scheduling.
  • New calculated fields — Performs calculations automatically using data from other standard or custom fields, helping users prioritize and automate tasks, drive sales and enhance relationships.
  • New history view — Enables users to easily locate, analyze and act on data within a dynamic view of all completed actions.

Also in response to customer feedback, Swiftpage will now provide multiple Act! product updates each year, rather than a single upgrade annually. In addition, updates can now be streamed and installed in the background without requiring the user to reinstall the core platform. Act! Business Care subscribers will have immediate access to each new update as it is released.

“Today’s release demonstrates our unwavering commitment to this product and the incredible Act! user community worldwide,” said H. John Oechsle, president and CEO of Swiftpage, noting that the new release “lays the critical foundation for our longer-term strategy and roadmap.”

The English version of Act! v16 is available now. The company plan to release German and French language versions next month.
