Watch Hill Scopes Acquisition

Watch Hill Partners, a Providence, R.I., technology advisor focused on customer relationship management (CRM), has
bought Encore Consulting Group to serve as the foundation of its new division.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Watch Hill’s “general consulting services” division will help clients achieve the structure and discipline needed to produce results.

“We’re thrilled to offer world class customers a full spectrum of consulting services from project management and general consulting to CRM optimization and
business process realignment for wireless initiatives,” said Brad Waugh, Watch Hill’s president and CEO.

Watch Hill targets financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals customers in the ranks of the Fortune 1000. Most of its business is in New England and New York.

Encore managing director, Patrick Kennedy, will lead business development for the new division. In addition to an experienced staff, Watch Hill gains
clients such as Textron Financial, a venerable asset management firm.

The acquisition comes nine months after privately held Watch Hill closed $3 million in first-round financing from Ascent Venture Partners. At the time, the investor
said it was impressed by the company’s market and leadership.

Waugh is a former exec at Akibia, a Westborough, Mass., CRM consulting firm, and Covansys, a Farmington Hills, Mich, integrator and cofounder Seth
Henry
worked at Akibia and C-bridge Internet Solutions, a Boston Internet consultancy.
