Jos. A. Bank Launches New Format of Its Internet Site
Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, Inc. (NASDAQ:JOSB) is launching an enhanced, more customer-friendly version of its Internet site at www.josbank.com. The new site is faster and has fewer steps required to place an order.
To ensure that the site met its customers needs, Jos. A. Bank had 100 of its best customers preview the site prior to launch and the company incorporated their suggestions into the site.
The Hampstead, Md.-based Jos. A. Bank initiated its Internet e-commerce business in 1998, capitalizing on its existing store and catalog base to reach new customers. Internet sales increased 188 percent in fiscal 2000. The current site was launched in August of last year. The company’s strategy is to capitalize on the strength of the Jos. A. Bank name and reputation by offering its customers multiple convenient channels to purchase product, including its 121 retail stores, Internet site and catalog.
