Samsung and SAP are partnering to bring mobile business intelligence to Android devices. The joint development leverages SAP’s Business Objects software to enable the Samsung Mobile Business Intelligence Dashboard to offer easy access to BI reports to mobile workers.

Samsung Mobile Business Intelligence Dashboard will be available for Android devices, including the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, in the U.S., Asia and Europe. The two vendors also are currently developing a mobile sales force automation application. Samsung will also support the Afaria device encryption platform from SAP subsidiary Sybase, CIO.com reports.

Mike Vizard, over at IT Business Edge, notes that the mobile computing boost from SAP and Samsung provides an additional boost to Android devices as they look to compete with devices from Apple, which are increasingly being adopted in the enterprise space.
