Logi Analytics Expands Big Data Influence with Partnerships

Logi Analytics, provider of a Web-based data discovery solution, has inked partnerships with more than half a dozen companies over the past year in an effort to expand its presence in the burgeoning Big Data analytics market.
This week it announced an alliance with Actian Corporation, provider of an end-to-end Big Data analytics platform that runs natively in Hadoop. The partnership will see the two companies connect the Logi Info analytics platform, which delivers insights through interactive dashboards, reports and mobile applications, to the Actian Analytics Platform, which connects to massive amounts of structured and unstructured data via its data flow capabilities and allows developers to run advanced data analytics natively in Hadoop.
According to the two companies, Logi Info will leverage the Actian Analytics Platform’s speed, analytical breadth and massive data scale without requiring data modeling or additional performance acceleration layers or techniques.

Last month Logi joined forces with HealthEdge, for a solution geared toward the insurance industry that combines the capabilities of Logi Info with HealthEdge’s HealthRules Answers’ data warehouse.

Also during the past year, Logi announced its software had been certified for direct connection to Cloudera‘s CDH and Hortonworks‘ Data Platform, two popular Hadoop distributions that allow organizations to store large amounts of semi-structured and unstructured data.
Other partnerships forged during the past year enable Logi to connect its solution to HP’s Vertica Big Data analytics platform, ParStream‘s analytics database, Amazon’s Redshift cloud-based data warehouse service and MongoDB‘s NoSQL document-oriented database. All of these partnerships aim to make it simpler for software developers to create Big Data analytics applications.
In March Logi Analytics released an update of Logi Info that it said makes it faster and easier to create analytic applications, dashboards and visualizations.
