REDtone Technology Sdn. Bhd., a computer-telephony solutions provider in Malaysia, has appointed Bass Consulting Sdn. Bhd. as its value-added reseller to market its call center and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.

According to REDtone’s executive director Zainal Amanshah, Bass Consulting will use the REDtone product suite to develop end-to-end CRM solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Bass Consulting currently has 11 personnel in its computer telephony division.

“We find that if the SMEs are to survive and stay competitive, they need to adopt not only the best technology to run their businesses, but also to place priority in building good relationships with their customers,” said Bass Consulting’s chief operating officer W. F. Lee.

Lee added that he expects REDtone’s CRM solutions to contribute RM2 million (US$526,000) to Bass Consulting’s total expected revenue of RM27 million (US$7 million) this year. “Our core capabilities in systems integration, together with our strong knowledge in interfacing and linking to host-based applications, we are optimistic that we will be able to do this,” he said.

Zainal said REDtone will establish similar partnerships to expand its business locally, and into other Asian markets. He added that the company is target the RM28 million (US$7.3 million) revenue mark this year – a 100 percent growth compared to last year’s figures.

“We provide complete solutions, and as a local product, we are 30 to 50 percent cheaper compared to other brands,” Zainal said. REDtone customers include KL Mutual, Nestle, Epson and the Selangor State Government.

Asked whether REDtone will list on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, Zainal said the company intends to do so, but it wants to focus on building a solid footing first.
