Is Perl the Duct Tape of the Internet? [PODCAST]

Developers can choose from a lot of different programming languages to build applications and infrastructure in 2016. For nearly three decades the open source Perl language has been one popular choice, and it's a choice that is still being made by developers today.

Among the many organizations that use and support Perl is ActiveState, which has its own commercially supported ActivePerl distribution of the open source Perl. In a podcast with Enterprise Apps Today Tom Radcliffe, director of Engineering at ActiveState, discusses why after all these years Perl remains such an active and vibrant development language.
