Social CRM provider Nimble has launched Nimble 2.0, the latest version of its contact management software. New features include social discovery, improved usability and marketing integration.

According to the company, Nimble 2.0 now includes support for Facebook business pages and Google+. In addition, the product’s new unified social notifications feature consolidates all the likes, comments, friend invites and other social interactions from LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google+. This information is combined with alerts on birthdays, promotions and job changes in a daily “social email” notification that helps keep Nimble users connected to their contacts.

Nimble improved the user interface for contact records so that all related messages, activities and deals involving a particular contact are presented in one place, along with the contact’s live social stream. Nimble also added custom fields and tabs to make it easier for users to personalize the system and boosted usability with improved navigation and better data importing tools.

Also according to the company, Nimble 2.0 can be integrated with inbound marketing software from HubSpot, a Nimble partner, which makes it simpler for users to capture information and interact with their customers and helps close the marketing loop.

Michael Brito, senior vice president of Social Business Planning for Edelman Digital, in a news release lauded the product’s user interface. “It’s very easy to find relevant information when I need it. The integration with contact management, activity management, sales and marketing automation, traditional and social media communication tools and collaboration features into one web-based solution makes it very convenient for people like me to get a pulse of what’s going on in my network,” he said.

Enterprise Apps Today contributor Vangie Beale reviewed an earlier version of Nimble’s software in June, writing: “… It is easy to see how it would work and work well for individual business owners, entrepreneurs and smaller home-based businesses — businesses where there is less ‘team’ communication and more one-on-one contact and messaging direct with customers.”

Nimble 2.0 is free for standalone personal users. The price for business and multi-users is $15 per user, per month.

Last month Nimble announced it raised $1 million in seed funding, in a round led by Google Ventures, Google’s venture capital arm, and including such prominent angel investors as Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Jason Calacanis, founder of several tech companies including Weblogs and Mahalo.

In announcing the release of Nimble 2.0, the company said it recently surpassed 30,000 registered users at more than 2,800 companies. It is also growing its VAR partner channel. It now has more than 250 global resellers, including 50 in Europe.
